We frolicked around Downtown for a little while longer until it was time to head to our ceremony and stopped off in front of the city's National Marine Fisherie building.  Fun Fact: New Bedford is now largely dedicated to the preservation and sustainability of wildlife and fisheries along the Atlantic coast but it was also once the largest whaling port in the world, featured in the novel Moby Dick by Herman Melville.  There is a marathon reading at the start of every new year of the entire book by English students, teachers and volunteers from our area.  That is your Ted Mosby Fun Fact of the Day.  You're welcome.
We also stopped in front of New Bedford's Whaling Museum for some photos in front of our beloved Whale Tail statue.  At this point, my face was hurting from all of the smiling and all of the caffeine had made its way out of my system.  That's when these happened:
Time for a second wind!  As we headed back up to the trolley, I spotted a Red Sox sign on a bench and since my boys were due to play a basically do-or-die game in mere hours, I stopped to send them some juju....
The juju worked!  The Sox won their game and thereby won the ALDS and went on to win the World Series!!  I totally believe it was my wedding day juju that got them there...not their talent or hard work at all.
